I am currently enjoying retirement after 36 years working in the NHS as a Occupational Therapy Technician.  I now have lots of time for  my passion of photography.  I am very fortunate to have a very understanding wife who actively encourages my hobbies.

In 2012 I decided to join Southend Photographic Society to learn how to take better photos. Towards the end of my first season  I was asked to stand as part of the committee, as vice chairman. Seasons 2013-14 , 2015-16 and 2019-2020 I was the society’s chairman.

In 2018 I formed a new club (Rochford Photographic Society), here we concentrate mainly on practical sessions, teaching skills to newcomers of the hobby and a place for experienced photographers to share and hone their skills and techniques for improving their images.

I have experience in working for a studio and weddings.

I am always looking for new ideas and enjoy encouraging a new generation of young photographers that hopefully will realise they will have nothing to look back on in the future if they continue to use social media as a platform for their images, (usually taken on their dreadful smart phones).

I actively encourage people to print their images.

I am happy to advise and provide one to one tuition.
